The Forest Kindergarten Association aims to offer a directory of forest kindergartens across the UK, to share information and to be the UK-wide voice for forest kindergartens.


Forest Kindergartens are growing across the UK and offer a type of preschool education where children are encouraged to play, explore and learn in a forest or natural environment. They spend their time almost exclusively outdoors, and adult supervision is meant to assist rather than lead. They are also known as a nature nursery, outdoor nursery, or forest preschool.
